Molecular biology techniques offer rapid and specific detection of Mycoplasma from different samples.

MolliScience provides species-specific conventional and real-time PCR assays for the detection of a wide-range of Mycoplasma species. We are also able to perform genus specific assays together with the sequencing of the PCR product, which is an effective tool to look for novel or rare Mycoplasma species in various samples.

The genotyping of a wide range of Mycoplasma species is available among our services for phylogenetic analysis or molecular epidemiology purposes. Our tools include different single gene sequencing and multi-locus sequence typing (MLST) assays, multi-locus variable number tandem repeat analysis (MLVA) and whole-genome sequencing and analysis.
